Job Description:
General Labor/ Material Handler:Pay rate: $16.00 Temp-Hire:
possible increase DOEHours: 8am-4:30pmJob Responsibilities but not
limited to:Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality
control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and
wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for
shipmentWorking in extreme conditions but not limited to elements,
heat, cold, air, rain.Sorting and consolidating reusable and
damaged pallets.Assisting with other warehouse demands (
palletizing: shrink wrap, boxes, film, plastic salad containers,
etc.)Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick
small unit of measure items and place on designated palletsHand
stacking cardboard boxes to appropriate height for safety.Must be
able to efficiently meet client's production
requirements.Responsible for shipping/receiving, loading/unloading
pallets and materials, into and out of trailers, or crates by hand,
by pallet jack, or assisting Forklift driver. If needed.Physically
lifting to 40lbs repeatedly bending, stooping, pivoting, and
turning.Constant standing bending and twisting for the entire
shift's length of time and overtime when needed.Cross-train in
multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as
neededPerform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and
adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by
the organizationComplete housekeeping and inventory control tasks
and maintain a clean and safe work
environmentQualifications:Frequently lift to 50 pounds.Ability to
bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.High School
diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience,
preferred.Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT)
preferred.Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick
experience highly preferred.Must be able to work overtime with
little to no advance notice.Ability to follow direction and change
priorities while working independently or as a member of a
team.Aptitude to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while
meeting hourly established performance standards.Good verbal and
written communication skills.Willingness to learn to operate
material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the
