Dignity Health Medical Group - Inland Empire is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a busy and well established group in the community of San Bernardino, CA.

Many sporting events are nearby, including LA Rams, San Diego Charges, Lakers, Clippers, Ducks, and LA Kings. Many amusement parks are also in close proximity: Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and Wild Animal Park. The area also boasts many surrounding cultural attractions such as Getty Museum, fine dining in Los Angeles, Pantages Theater, Hollywood Bowl, and many others.

    Responsibilities
    Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
      Communication:
      • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
      • Provide clear and concise medical information.
      • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
        Documentation:
        • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
        • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
        • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
          Diagnostic Procedures:
          • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
          • Perform procedures as needed
          • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
            Team Collaboration:
            • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
            • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
            • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
              Quality Improvement:
              • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
              • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
              • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
                Compliance:
                • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
                • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
                • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
                  Continuous Learning:
                  • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
                  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
                  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
                    • Conduct comprehensive health assessments.
                    • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
                    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
                      Treatment Planning and Management:
                      • Develop and implement patient care plans.
                      • Prescribe medications and therapies.
                      • Provide health promotion and disease prevention education.
                        Collaboration and Consultation:
                        • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
                        • Consult with physicians and specialists as needed.
                        • Coordinate patient care across various settings. Qualifications
                          • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
                          • Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
                          • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program Pay Range
                            $312.00 - $326.00 /hour
