A metal manufacturing company located in the city of Fontana is looking for an experienced Safety Manager to join their team. The Safety Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective safety culture. You will provide leadership and direction for safety strategies, execution/delivery, and monitoring/auditing of all safety programs. As the safety leader, you will ensure that the safety program achieves strategic goals while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. You will be the expert for technical safety efforts and leading the advancement of safe work practices.

Desired Skills and Experience

?Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar discipline.

?Five to Seven years experience managing safety programs within a manufacturing environment.

?Experienced in program management.

?Strong problem solving skills.

?Success in leading and influencing people.

?Demonstrated success leading Behavior Based Safety programs and initiatives.

?Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish is a must.

?Ability to apply good judgment when responding to and investigating regulatory and safety issues.

?Excellent presentation and training skills.

?Computer savvy with Microsoft Office products and some data bases

?Detailed oriented with a tenacious focus on results.

?High level of self-confidence, accountability, flexibility, integrity and honesty.

?Ability to travel on a regular basis to other facilities.

?Demonstrated working knowledge and implementation of Cal-OSHA, and safety programs such as Confined Space (Permit Required and Non Permit Required), IIPP, Process Safety Management, Respiratory Protection, Emergency Action Planning, Lock-out/ Tag-out, Contractor Safety, Sara Title III,RMP, SPCC, Storm Water, Emergency Response and Spill Cleanup.

?40 hour HAZWHOPER Certification (preferred)

?OSHA 501 Certification (preferred)
